..and miss you beyond the stars
'Best Friend' is not the one,
who began to cry with your tear,
At that time,
She is the one,
that make your laugh reverberate in the air.
"You know what...," she pointed out & stopped for a bit to know my consent.
"What?" I asked so impatiently as if I really wanting to know what she was going to say. She was testing my patience.
"Nothing," she turned her face after saying this.
"Okay," I also say as if to ignore her.
'She' was my younger sister. I have two younger sisters & once in a week we sit together & share everything, we experience.
She was making a card for her classmate & she was saying,
"Now what should I write on this? Tell me some catchy lines please."
I was like, "Who is she to you?"
"She is my best friend," she says very casually.
"Best Friend?"
I was shocked by her casual behaviour while saying this.
"Yeah."
I couldn't stop myself asking her, "What is the definition of a "Best Friend", according to you?"
"She is in my friend's group, that's all. What about you?" she rose an eyebrow while looking towards me with a smirk on her face.
I stood up from that place, went into my room, shut the door behind me, went towards the window, the one from where the moon looks beautiful & clear.
Moon is always beautiful. For me, it shows me the faces of my loved ones. I feel free to talk to the moon, whenever I want. In short, I am a moon child, I guess so.
I looked towards the moon & it took me back to the time when I have had a best friend, the one I never thought to leave. But time & destiny can do anything. She was almost everything to me. I still remember clearly how she was used to come to college late & that smile on her face. Some serious moments, we think together. Even in intense situations our silly jokes & laughter. Everything is on my mind. Usually, I don't remember her but there are times when I miss her beyond the stars.
If someone asks me my definition of Best Friend, I can easily say, "The one I can laugh out loud with."
She was my complete definition of life. She was the one, I felt complete with. I never ever wished for a life partner because I never ever felt that.
But sometimes some circumstances came into our life that we have to sacrifice the things we love the most.
After college, she got married & I started university. Now she has two children. When she got married, I don't know how our distances began to increase more & more. We used to talk every second & now we hardly talk three times in a year.
After her, I never had any best friend & I miss that friendship.
The moon is my friend now. Because I love the moon a lot. I can talk & spend time a lot with the moon & it's so beautiful. But more than the moon, more than anyone I will ever came across in my life, she will be the one.
I had loved you past the moon & beyond the stars.
I still love you past the moon & beyond the stars.
I will forever love you past the moon & beyond the stars.
